We are a community of owners and residents at Ice Wharf – 94 apartments across two buildings with a waterside garden in Kings Cross, London UK. We overlook Regent's Canal and Battlebridge Marina.
Ice Wharf was designed by architect Tchaik Chassay and built in 1998. The name derives from a nearby Victorian ice well. Carlo Gatti had the huge well constructed in 1857 to store tons of ice imported from Norway. The ice enabled ice-cream to be brought to Londoners for the first time. You can still view the original ice well at our neighbouring London Canal Museum.
As owners of apartments at Ice Wharf, we are also shareholders of Ice Wharf Company Limited and currently, six of us are directors. Our company has full ownership (freehold) of our land and buildings This means we have control over how our buildings and garden are managed. We employ a property management team at HML Group to handle day-to-day maintenance and services on our behalf. We also have a great security team who provide 24-hour on-site security.
